RICHARD "RICK" KNEBEL
Coralville
Richard "Rick" E. Knebel, 57, of Coralville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hills. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The family invites you to join them for a luncheon at the church Parish Hall following the burial. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Richard E. Knebel Memorial Fund.
Rick was born Sept. 27, 1959, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Phyllis (Jordan) Knebel. On Oct. 6, 1984, Rick married Cindy (Owen) Knebel in Hills.
Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was very passionate about his career and business. He took pride in his true and honest craftsmanship, which served many community members.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy; their two children, Paige and Edward; his siblings, Nancy (Ron) Horrell, Steve (Marcy) Knebel and Mike Knebel; and his sister-in-law, Pat Knebel.
Rick also is survived by his loving extended family, including numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Phyllis; and his brother, Jim Knebel.
