Richard Francis Hermanson, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away December 29, 2023 in Texas, after a long-term health issue. Rick was born April 7, 1957 to Hubert Richard and Mary Jule Hermanson in Waukon, Iowa. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy in Texas; sons, Jozef (Emily) and Khristopher; father, Hubie; siblings, Jill, Stephen (Debra), Jeff (Cindy) and Scott (Sarah); step-daughter, Elizabeth; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Jule and brother Clark. Rick served in the U.S. Army. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
