Richaed Duane Bevins passed away Feb. 16, 2021, at Mercy Medical center in Cedar Rapids. Per Richard's request, he was cremated. There will be no service, a Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to
8 p.m. May 29, at Jones Park Pavilion, on
29th Avenue. He loved his kids. And he loved his music (favorite being Soundgarden) almost as much as his ego. Meaning, Rich always flexing his biceps
and calf-muscles, and telling you to check them out. The people that knew Rich best, knew of his tough exterior, but they also knew he had a soft spot deep down. Richard was born March 6, 1968, the son of Duane Bevins and Diane McCarte (Mike).
Survivors include his children, Kayla, Ashley, Courtney, Kiana (Tanisha), Brandon, Gracelyn and Finneas; grandchildren, Zayn, Chandler and Camden; siblings, Robert, Tracy (Mark), Brett and Shawn; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Mike McCarte; uncle, David Tesdahl; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Richard was loved and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
