Richard “Dick” Hansen, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is assisting the family.
Dick loved music and liked to compose his own songs. He was a big basketball fan. He competed on the State All-Star team in 1971.
Dick is survived by his significant other of 28 years, Chong Birky; sister, Barb (Ken) Kollath; and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Warren & Marian (Sanden) Hansen; and brother, Robert Hansen.
