Dick passed from this life on Feb. 13, 2022. According to his wishes, he has been cremated by Iles Westover Funeral Home in Windsor Heights. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the 11 a.m. service, on Thursday, Feb. 17, with a private burial to be held at a later date at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Fred E. Bice and Edith Dollie Nagle Bice; son, David John Bice; and first wife, Carol Hixson Bice Lathrum.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 18 years, Janice Jolley Cross Bice; daughters, Sue (Randy) Rosander of St. Charles, Iowa, Cindy (Harlan) Wetzel of Peru, Iowa; son, Rick Bice Jr. of Weston, Mo.; stepdaughter, Amy (Bryan) Kaster of Harlan, Iowa; stepson, Lucas (Molly) Kuhlmann of Iowa City, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loving cat, Tiger Lily.
