Richard Dean Fisher, 78, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Bear Creek Cemetery, rural Vinton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. A memorial fund has been established.
Richard was born on Jan. 3, 1940, the son of Charles and Nellie (Phelps) Fisher. Richard worked as a farmhand and enjoyed mowing yards for neighbors and friends. He was also an accomplished woodworker. Richard loved music and enjoyed playing the accordion. He was also an avid fisherman.
Richard is survived by many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
