Richard Corliss (Dick, RC) Lyons, 88, of Washington, Iowa formerly of St. Charles, Iowa, died on Christmas day, December 25, 2024 following a battle with cancer and complications of dementia.
Services will be held Saturday, January 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Jones Eden Funeral Home.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that any donations be made to Hospice Compassus of Washington. The kindness and care shown to Dick and Bev the last few weeks was truly amazing.
RC was employed for 31 years by Standard Bearings in Des Moines, Iowa. After his retirement, he worked as Operation Assistant for Madison County Winery in St. Charles. He was actively involved in the Des Moines Izaak Walton League for many years, serving as President in 1996/97.
