Rhodes, David Michael
David Michael Rhodes, 50, of Marion, died Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: private. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughter, Natalie Rhodes of Salt Lake City; his father, Rawlins of Marion; his brothers, Scott Rhodes and Brad (Saih-Lan) Rhodes, both of Salt Lake City; and his sister, Michelle Sherman of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Rhodes.
David was born Sept. 9, 1962, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Rawlins and Patricia (Bridges) Rhodes. David was an author who wrote and published three novels. Writing was his hobby. He also enjoyed collecting signed first edition books.
