Rhoda Olive Walker, 97, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the Prairie Creek Church, rural Vinton, with the Rev. David Arnold and the Rev. Dennis Sackett officiating. Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery, north of Vinton. Friends may call at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, from 4 to 7 p.m. today.
A memorial fund has been established.
