Reynolds, Eugene 'Gene' W.

Eugene “Gene” W. Reynolds, 72, of Hills, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service beginning at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice (Mercy Foundation) or American Diabetes Association.

Eugene William Reynolds was born April 26, 1941, in Iowa City, son of Robert and Elizabeth (Kleinschmidt) Reynolds. On Oct. 22, 1963, Gene married Glenda Palmer in Colorado Springs, Colo. Gene worked for many years at Eagle Foods as produce manager and also part time for 15 years with Barron Motors up until June of this year.

Gene was a member of Eagles Lodge 695, Masonic Lodge 549, Chapter 135 of the Eastern Star, Kaaba Shrine and the Hills Town and Country.

His family includes his wife, Glenda; daughters, Tammy Pachow (Sean) of Solon and Kristi Holm (John) of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; grandsons, Cody, Collin and Cameron Pachow; sisters, Hannah Telford of Lone Tree, Linda Pierce of Melbourne, Fla., and Kathy Morrison (Jeff) of Letts; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Fred and Randy Reynolds.
