Reta R. "Nana" Emerson, 86, of Hills, formerly of Iowa City, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills. Burial will follow the luncheon at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 4 to 7 p.m., with a parish wake service beginning at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Atrium Village or the Reta Emerson Memorial Fund.
Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
Reta is survived by her children, Richard Emerson (Carolyn), Catherine Greazel (Francis), Stephen Emerson (Pam), Susan Richerson and Kirk Emerson (Pamela); 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Yoder Wenman (Arthur); a sister-in-law, Marjorie Singer (Robert); and many nieces and nephews.
