Rekemeyer, Ellouise G.
Ellouise G. Rekemeyer, 79, of Tipton, died May 5, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 9, First United Church of Christ, Tipton, with the Rev. David Lorenzen officiating. Burial: Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Born Feb. 2, 1932, in Lowden, the daughter of Anton and Augusta (Wenndt) Deerberg, she married Harlan Rekemeyer on March 9, 1954, at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden.
Survivors include her sons, Philip of Ankeny and Floyd (Robbin) of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Patricia (Bruce) Tait of Woodbury, Minn.; four grandsons; a stepgranddaughter; brother, Harlan (Florence) Deerberg of Lowden; and sister, MaryJane Schnack of Wheaton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a grandson.
