Reiter, Kathryn F.
Kathryn F. Reiter, 94, of 701 Johnson St., Cascade, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 11:30 p.m. at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade. Friends and relatives of Kathryn may call from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade. Services for Kathryn will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Kathryn was born Dec. 26, 1915, in Cascade, Iowa, daughter of Edward and Margaret (Kurt) Reiter Sr. She received her education at the Visitation Academy in Dubuque and was a graduate of the former St. Mary's School in Cascade. She was also a graduate of Bayless Business College in Dubuque. Kathryn was a clerk at Bank of America in Los Angeles and later for National Insurance Company of America until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of St. Matthew's Parish in Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by one sister, Bernadette Tegler of La Crosse, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Florence Leonard, Laura Manternach, Lillian Johnson and Bernice Reiter; and five brothers, Fred Reiter, Carl Reiter, Walter Reiter, Ed Reiter Jr., and Paul Reiter.
A Kathryn F. Reiter memorial fund has been established.
