Reinhold, Richard James

Richard James Reinhold, 57, of Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at The Hospice of Arizona in Mesa after a long illness. No services are scheduled at this time and his body has been donated to science to help others.

Richard was born Dec. 8, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Richard and LaDonie (Tharp) Reinhold. Richard married Marsha Ann Christianson in Cedar Rapids, on July 22, 1978. They later divorced. He married Roxanne Elaine Summers in Mesa, Ariz., on Oct. 19, 1985. She passed away Jan. 7, 2003. Richard worked for many years at Saguaro Furniture in Mesa.

Survivors include his close friend, Marilyn Smith of Apache Junction; children, Cassandra Christianson of Cedar Rapids, Stacey Vileta of Newhall, April (Patrick) King of Avondale, Ariz., Kimberly Koff of Steele, N.D., and Danny Reinhold of Apache Junction; brothers, Randy (Lynn) Reinhold of Iowa City, and Russell Reinhold of Wichita, Kan.; sister, Jeanne (Allen) Baker of Cedar Rapids; stepsister, Shirlee Coy of Meeker, Colo.; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Richard and Deborah Reinhold; mother and stepfather, LaDonie and Howard Helm; and wife, Roxanne Reinhold.
