Richfield, Minn.
Regina A. "Jean" (Coleman) Fischbach, 87, of Richfield, Minn., passed away Dec. 28, 2018.
Regina was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Coggon, Iowa, to Joseph and Opal (Kehrli) Coleman. In her younger years, Regina enjoyed working on the farm, driving her Volkswagen Beetle and traveling with her friends. On Dec. 28, 1963, Regina married Vernon P. Fischbach at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Minneapolis. She worked at St. Peter's Church, Woodlake Point Condominiums and Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church, but she was most proud to be the mother of her three children and grandmother to her six grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends and cherished every visit, letter and email.
Regina is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; parents, Joseph and Opal Coleman; siblings, Mary Zieser, Lenora Burke and Louis Coleman and infant siblings, Glen and Frances.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Mary) Fischbach, Jeff (Cathy) Fischbach and Linda (Jim) Melssen; and grandchildren, Allison, Nathan, Peter, Elizabeth, Joseph and Kate. She is also survived by her four sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mount Olivet Home for their compassionate care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Catholic Church of St. Peter, 6730 Nicollet Ave. S., Richfield, Minn. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., and one hour prior to Mass at church.
Memorials preferred to St. Peter's Church or Catholic charities.
