Regan, Chase J.
Chase J. Regan, 23, of Lansing, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 in Waukon. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, with Father Joseph Schneider, the Rev. Lynn G. Groe and the Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Lycurgus Cemetery, rural Waukon. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Chase's name.
Chase Joseph Regan was born on Dec.r 4, 1988, in La Crosse, Wis., the son of Charles Joseph Regan and Jane Marie (Stock) Regan. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, and graduated from Waukon High School in 2007. Chase was currently working with many of his family at Regancrest Farms in rural Waukon. He was active in all aspects of the operation and this year also planted corn on some acres he rented on his own. Chase loved the farming life and was an enthusiastic worker. He spent many happy days with the livestock, working in the fields, and repairing and keeping up the machinery in the shop. He took pride in doing his best every day.
He was equally active when he wasn't farming. Chase loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, canoeing, water skiing at the river, and playing golf and softball. He participated in motocross and tractor pulls at the county fair and liked riding snowmobiles, motorcycles and driving his Ford pickups. Chase loved people and treasured the time he spent with his cousins and friends and his family looked forward to the raspberry dessert he made for special events.
Survivors include his parents, Charlie (Connie) Regan of Lansing, and Jane Regan of Harpers Ferry; his brother, Mitch (Leah Jones) Regan of Waukon; his maternal grandparents, Robert J. and Irene Stock of Waukon; aunts and uncles, Joan (Dennis) Behr of Madison, Wis., Kaye Anderson of New Brighton, Minn., and Lyle (Annette), Lynn (Melanie), Kent (Rhonda), and Mark (Stacy) Stock, all of Waukon, Mary (Darrell) Henning of Postville, IA, Bill Jr. (Karen) Regan of Lansing, and Michael (Joyce), Dennis (Betty), Frank (Mary), Ron (Mary) and Matt Regan, Rosella (Greg) Piggott and Joan (Scott) Anderson, all of Waukon; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Angella Regan.
Honorary casketbearers are Chase's aunts, uncles and cousins. Casketbearers are Dane, Brian, Sean, Danny and Daylen Regan, Justin and Jamie Piggott and Tyler Sommer.
