Jan Alan Refle, 46, passed away Sept. 2, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader, by the Rev. Marshall Hahn. Burial: 5 p.m., Union Cemetery, rural Littleport. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home in Elkader and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Jan is survived by his wife, Sheri; daughter, Elisha of Phoenix; parents, Dean and Sandy of rural Elkport; sister, Annette (Greg) Hayes, and nieces, Mackenzie and Rylee Hayes, of Urbandale; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jess and Carol Jarman of Strawberry Point; sister-in-law, Sandi Brown and fiance Steve Barton, and nieces and nephews, Allan, Amber and Chance Brown; and Sheri's grandmother, Arlene Hakert of Elkader.
