Reed, Steven I.
Steven I. Reed, 68, passed away in Lancaster, Calif., on Nov. 28, 2011, after a short illness. There will be a family Celebration of Life at a later date.
Steve was born in Searcy, Ark., on March 2, 1943, to Claude and Lucille (Rains) Reed. They moved to Cedar Rapids in 1955. Steve graduated from Jefferson High in 1962 and moved to California in 1964.
He is survived by two sons, Steven I. (Shanna) Reed II and Chad (Kathryne) Reed, both of Lancaster; a daughter, Sharon (Greg) Kraus of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Liz (Ron) Young of Cedar Rapids and Cathy (Mike) Bromley of American Fork, Utah; nine nieces and nephews; and his former wife and friend, Patty Reed of Lancaster.
