Rebecca "Becky"
Johnson, 52, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully in the hospice unit at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palo United Methodist Church in Palo, by the Rev. John
Howerton. Friends may
visit with the family Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Palo United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the
family.
Becky was a beloved wife to Allen Johnson and mother to Zachary and Shelby Johnson; beloved stepmother to Jeremy (Jamie) Johnson and Caitlin (Nicholas) Larson; beloved grandmother to Paige, Jordyn, Josie Johnson and Nolan Larson; and beloved aunt of 19 and great-aunt of eight.
Becky is also survived by her parents, Richard Thomas and Lynn Hope Pedigo; sisters, Robin (Craig) Staley and Michelle (Chris) Grenier; and brother, Rick (Robin) Pedigo.
Becky has gone to be with her maternal grandparents, Vern and Alice Gust; and her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Violet Pedigo.
Becky was an upbeat,
positive person who lived each day to the fullest. Becky met each day with a smile and great expectations. One of Becky's greatest joys came from the time she spent with her children and their friends. Becky was always the life of the party. She had many friends and loved people and animals alike.
Becky never encountered a stranger, only friends she had not yet met. Becky lived her life with love and kindness
to all.
Becky will be remembered and will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her.
