Rebecca "Becky" Jean Flake, 68, of Lone Tree, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Windmill Manor in Coralville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion, following committal services. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Becky.

Becky was born Jan. 27, 1946, to Ella Arzella (Sharp) and Walter Lemley in Riverside. Becky was united in marriage to Ronald James Flake on June 1, 1965, at the Methodist Church in Riverside. Ron and Becky began married life in Riverside, moving to Lone Tree where they raised their children.

Becky worked for Lone Tree Community Schools and later retired from Rockwell Collins in Coralville in 2002. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them, Becky loved to collect blue glass and porcelain dolls.

Becky will be deeply missed by her husband, Ron of Lone Tree; her children, Ronald and wife Rachelle, Sandra, and Steven and wife Pat, all of Lone Tree; grandchildren, Dustin Flake, Tyler Flake, Austin Flake, Lexi Flake and Ben Brown; siblings, Clara Edna and her husband, Elmer Sammons, Wayne Lemley and wife Jo, Esther Rogers, Butch Lemley and wife Linda, Jackie Flake and Mary Anne Scharfe; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Windmill Manor in Coralville for their care of Becky.
