Razor, Tim
Tim Razor of Cedar Rapids died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley (John) Kinney; father, Tom Razor; and sister, Shelley Razor-Markwell.
Tim was born Aug. 30, 1953, and is survived by son, Jackson John; wife, Pamela; sister, Tami (Michael) Stephens; sister, Jody (Jim) Williams; brother, John (Susan) Kinney; and extended family, including beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tim was a devoted and loving father who adored his son. He was incredibly proud of Jackson's accomplishments in school, sports and music.
Music defined Tim, it was his soul and passion. He was an accomplished funk and jazz musician whose career spanned over 40 years. A CBS recording artist, Tim was a prominent and charismatic member of the local music scene, playing, writing and producing music.
His beautiful grace and soulful voice will be missed.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Tim's name has been created at Wells Fargo, active on Thursday, Aug. 15
