Rath, Henry C.
Henry C. Rath, 100, of Laguna Woods, Calif., formerly of Earlville, died May 3, 2011, at his home. Services will be at a later date at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Laguna Woods. Burial will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Altice; daughter, Katherine; son, Paul (Janet); a sister; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Henry was a longtime resident of Earlville, Iowa. He taught science at Maquoketa Valley High School, was active in the Lutheran Church and was a member of the Earlville town council. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in World War II.
