Randy Lee Kaufman, 60, of Independence, died Saturday morning, Dec. 2, 2017 at Lexington Estates Care Center in Independence.
Randy was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Kingsville, Texas, the son of Melvin and Julia (Sylvia) Kaufman. He graduated from high school and, in 1992, moved to Independence with his family. Randy enjoyed fishing, typing, bike riding, country and polka music, crocheting pillows for his family, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is survived by his brother, Kevin (Sonia) Kaufman, Winthrop; uncles, Larry (Velma) Kaufman and Gary (Linda) Kaufman, both of Toddville, and LeRoy Kaufman, Farmington, N.M.; and many nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Julia Kaufman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, with Sharon Bainbridge officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
