Randy Ulery, 72, of Marion, IA, formerly of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at The Views Senior Living of Marion. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. A private burial will be held at a later date. Randy Binford Ulery was born April 17, 1952, to Dwight and Collen (Rash) Ulery in Marshalltown. He attended Marshalltown High School, graduating with the class of 1970.
After graduation Randy started his 31-year career at Kent Feeds. After retiring from Kent, he went on to work various jobs, his favorite being driving the street sweeper for the city of Altoona.
Randy was known for being a hardworking and reliable guy who was ready to help anyone. He loved classic cars and vintage tractors. He was known to take day trips to seek out a tenderloin or pizza. Randy was proud of his Binford family name. Two grandchildren were given this middle name.
Randy is survived by his children, Jamie (Luke) Haughenbury of Coggon, IA, Jennie Ulery of Sioux City, IA, and Ben (Kate) Ulery of Parkersburg, IA; grandchildren Cade, Tate and Allie Haughenbury, Bailey Ridgway, Jaxon Ulery and Daphne, Juliette, Vincent and Alexander Ulery.
The family would like to thank Bickford of Marion, The Views of Marion, St. Luke’s and St. Croix hospice for the excellent care he was given over the last two years.
