Randall F. Sander, 81, of Clarence, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Funeral Services:
10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, by the Rev. David Hitch. Burial: Lowden
Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Born April 18, 1933, in Clarence, the son of Henry and Luanna Freese Sander, he married Rosalie Missel on Nov. 2, 1957, in Toronto, Iowa.
Randall was a lifelong resident of Clarence, graduating from Clarence High School class of 1950. He served in the Army and was a Legion member for over 60 years. He also served on the school board during the merger of the Clarence-Lowden schools.
Randall was in the trucking business and farmed in the Clarence area for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rosalie; sons, John (Linda) of Clarence and Tony (Sherry) of Clarence; daughters, Judy (Dan) Hayes of Jackson, Mich., Mary (Jim) Moroney of Muskogee, Okla., Jen (Dan) Lange of Clarence and Pat (Bob) Henneberry of Bernard; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.
