Randall "Randy" James Maher, 65, of Mount Vernon, died unexpectedly from
health issues on Saturday, June 3, 2017. A parish vigil service will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. The family will then greet friends until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Father John Flaherty. The family also will greet friends one hour prior to Mass on Thursday at the church. Cremation will follow services on Thursday and a private family committal service will take place at a later date.
