Rance, Salana C. 'Sally'
Salana C. “Sally” Rance, 62, of 45 Summer Circle NE, Cedar Rapids, died there on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, after a long illness. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Inurnment at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum columbarium. The Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include four sons, Brian (Laura) Michalec of Vinton, Jim Michalec of Cedar Rapids, Carey Rance and Eric (Holly) Rance; her mother and stepfather, Carolyn Duffy and Robert Burk; and one brother, Harlan Utecht, all of Cedar Rapids.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, James; and her father.
Sally was born on June 28, 1947, in Le Mars, the daughter of Orise and Carolyn Klein Utecht. She was a homemaker. Sally enjoyed all types of crafts, cooking, shopping and especially time spent with her friends and beloved family.
A memorial fund has been established in Sally's name.
