Ralph L. Nedrow, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 30, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services with military rites at 11 a.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivor include his wife, Dolores; a son, Logan of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Mary Cosby of Burlington. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kamron and Haylee.
He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
Ralph was born on Oct. 26, 1926, in Pittsburg, Iowa, the son of Lewis and Carrie Channel. He married Dolores Rammelsberg on April 2, 1960, in Vinton.
Ralph was a truck mechanic and worked for companies in Linn County, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Am Vets and volunteered at the Midwest Central Railroad. Ralph proudly served in the Army, Air Force and Navy in both World War II and the Korean War. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and the time spent with his many friends and beloved family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
