Ralph Duane Neiderhiser, 70, of Clinton, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St., SW. Celebration of Life service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Brosh Chapel. Burial will follow in Rogers Grove (a.k.a. Neiderhiser) Cemetery located on Ivanhoe Road near Ely.
Ralph was born Dec. 5, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Wilbur "Vernon" and Lois J. (Meskimen) Neiderhiser. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School, and later earned an associate degree from Kirkwood College. Ralph worked at FMC Linkbelt Crane in Cedar Rapids, ADM in Clinton and at 3M in Cordova, Ill. He enjoyed visiting friends, traveling, snow skiing, boating, motorcycle riding, mushroom hunting, canoeing, tinkering and going to garage sales.
Ralph is survived by his life partner, Teresa Neiderhiser; his siblings, John (Sandy) Neiderhiser, Jim (Nicki) Neiderhiser, Nancy (Jerry) Allen, Matt (Janice) Neiderhiser and Mark Neiderhiser; his nieces and nephews; and his faithful animal companions, Haley and Dusty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Neiderhiser and Lois Lovelett.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the donor's choice of charity in his name.
