Ralph G. Bell, 86, of Mechanicsville, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at his home. Funeral services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with visitation two hours before the service beginning at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia (Gary) Trout of Mechanicsville; son, Timothy Bell (significant other Pat) of Mechanicsville; daughter, Sherry Bell of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Bell of Center Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Pearl Bell, in 2015; and a son, Mike Bell.
Ralph was born July 5, 1931, the son of Charles and Hazel (Schoonover) Bell in Greeley, Colo. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and helping his grandkids with their projects.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
