Raddatz, Pat A. 'Toots'
Pat A. “Toots” Raddatz, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Jonathan Offt. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Dick; son, Chad of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Colette Ameling of West Union; and brothers, Dave (Dianne) Ameling of Ossian, Tom (Laura) Ameling of Clermont and Danny (Sally) Ameling of Pineville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Felix; and two brothers, Mike and Carl.
Pat was born March 12, 1952, the daughter of Felix and Colette (Langreck) Ameling, in West Union, Iowa. She graduated in 1970 from South Winneshiek High School, where she played softball. Pat served with the United States Army from 1970-1974 and was in the Reserves from 1974-1978. In 1978, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Raddatz in Festina, Iowa. Pat was an inventory specialist at the St. Luke's Hospital Pharmacy, ordering pharmaceuticals for the hospital.
Pat played softball in high school and for Lester's and Taco John's women softball teams from 1975-2002. She also bowled on the Taco John's team for many years. Pat attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be directed to St. Luke's Foundation in memory of Pat.
