Ronald Joseph Quint, 69, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, Miss. Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Miss. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl, Miss., followed by burial at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland.
Mr. Quint was born July 17, 1943, in Worthington, Iowa, to Edward and Lorene Quint. He has lived in Richland since 1972 and was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. He was also a member of American Legion Post 112, volunteered at the VA Hospital, was an award winning blood donor, and he loved to dance.
Mr. Quint was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jerome Quint.
He is survived by his ex wife, Mary Ann Quint; son, Scott (Rebecca) Quint of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Christina Cole of Pearl, Miss.; brother, Glenn (Judy) Quint of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Betsy (Gary) Sickles of Oelwein, Carol (Jim) Webber of Gilbertville and Lois (Jim) Vertz of Cedar Rapids; and two grandchildren, Danielle and Caitlyn.
