Quint, Joan
Joan Quint, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at West Village Care Center in Independence after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Winthrop by Father Donald J. Plamondon. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visitation: 2:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, and until 10 a.m. Monday at Fawcett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Winthrop, where a Scripture service begins at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving family includes her daughters, Deanna (Clyde) Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Denise (Roger) Olsen of Winthrop and Dana (Jerry) Bostian of Oelwein; one son, Jeff (Laurie) Quint of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Susan Thimmesch of Winthrop; stepdad, James Donnelly of Winthrop; and a niece, Heather Thimmesch of Winthrop.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Donnelly; husband, Howard Quint; son, Joseph Quint; and grandson, Chancey Olsen.
