Puffer, Dale Ann
Dale Ann Puffer, 83, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. A memorial will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Deacon Sean Smith will officiate with burial following at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dale is survived by her children, John Puffer of Georgetown, Mass., Jeffrey (Janice) Puffer of Marion and Christopher Puffer of Marion; grandchildren, Laurel (Joshua) Pronk, Hayley, Amy, Mary and Sara Puffer; great-grandchildren, Johanna and Samantha Pronk and Chassity Puffer; and her brother, Robert (Sally) Gallun of Ripon, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allan Puffer; parents, Robert and Virginia Gallun; and grandson, Steven Puffer.
Dale was born March 28, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Frye) Gallun. She married John Allan Puffer on March 18, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wis. Dale lived and worked in Palatine, Ill., working as a real estate auditor. She moved to Marion in 2005 to be closer to her family and grandchildren. Dale attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion and was a member of the St. Joseph Woman's Connection. She was a talented artist who enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Friends and acquaintances described her as a gentle, lovely soul.
