Pudil, Brian F.
Brian F. Pudil, 69, of Swisher, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. An informal gathering of Brian's family and friends will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the Swisher American Legion. Per Brian's wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service or visitation. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his daughters, Gretchen (David) Wetendorf of Ear Falls, Ontario, Valerie Pudil of Austin, Texas, and Corina Pudil Merritt of Cedar Rapids; his brother, Steve (Lynn) Pudil of Swisher; his grandchildren, Michael, Kate, Kyra and Jenna; his friend and companion, Linda O'Hara of Cedar Rapids; and nephews, Rob (Gena) Pudil of North Liberty, Kurt Pudil and Chad (Kris) Pudil, both of Cedar Rapids.
Brian was born the son of Edwin and Irene (Marak) Pudil in Cedar Rapids and raised in Swisher. He owned and operated Wenasaga Lodge & Outposts, a fishing/hunting resort in Ear Falls, Ontario, for many years and valued the many friends he made there.
The family requests no flowers. Instead, memorials and condolences may be directed to his family.
