Pritchard, Russell L.
Russell L. Pritchard, 78, of Longmont, Colo., passed away Jan. 25, 2010, at HospiceCare Center in Louisville, Colo. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 26, at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Longmont. Private inurnment at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties and mailed to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.

Russell was born May 27, 1931, in Aurora, to Lawrence and Maude (Starr) Pritchard. Russell served in the U.S. Navy from Aug. 2, 1949, to March 4, 1953. He was honorably discharged as a Gunner's Mate Third Class and fought in the Korean War. He married Donna Jean Grimm on Aug. 11, 1964, in Wyoming, Iowa. She preceded him in death on July 29, 1975. He then married Norma Wilson in May 1976, and she preceded him in death on April 30, 1989. Later, he married Patricia Gragg Hood on Nov. 18, 1991, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2006.
He moved to Longmont in 1973 from Urbana. Russell worked for Cryovac in Cedar Rapids for many years. He then worked for the Coors Brewery, retiring in 1994, and finally for Super Wash in Longmont at both the north and south locations until 2009.
Russell was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1548 and Longs Peak Post No. 2601 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Longmont. He was an avid bowler who enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing cards, watching westerns and the Denver Broncos. Above all, Russell loved his family.
Russell is survived by his children, Mona Long (Paul) of Albuquerque, Debbie Vineyard (Darren) of Platteville, Colo., Robin Hood (Cheri) of Bullard, Texas, Nancy McAnich of Firestone, Colo., Beverly Lutz of San Antonio, Texas, Bill Hood (fiancee, Ro Moriarty) of Haledon, N.J., Debbie Grosskreutz (Paul) of Mount Vernon, Diane Reutzel (Mike) of Cedar Rapids, and David Wilson (Patti) of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Fran Leggett (Stuart) of Monticello, and Dorothy Brunscheen of Florence, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first, second and third wives; and a sister, Darlene Stender.
