Pritchard, Julie Ann
Julie Ann Pritchard, 49, of Earlville, passed away of a heart attack Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, following a 23 year battle with Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earlville by the Rev. Noah Diehm. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Earlville, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service. Additional visitation, before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Earlville.
Julie was born May 3, 1964, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Leander and LaVonne (Feldmann) Burkle.
She graduated from Maquoketa Valley Schools in 1982 and from Kirkwood College and worked as a paralegal for John Goen. On Sept. 27, 1986, she married Everett Pritchard, they later divorced.
Julie enjoyed playing the organ and played for St. Joseph's Catholic Church for eight years. She enjoyed shooting pool and swimming at the Earlville Aquatic Center with her “girls.” Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Julie is survived by four daughters, Rachael (Colin Harms) Pritchard, Renee (Marlon Gantt) Pritchard, both of Cedar Rapids, Kayla (Joshua Juengel) Pritchard of Manchester and Emmalee Prindle at home; five grandchildren, Carter, Chase, Lilliana, Audrianna and Faith; her parents, Leander and LaVonne Burkle of Earlville; brothers, Tom (Phyllis Camp) Burkle and Dennis (Sherry) Burkle; a sister, Joan (Don) Leuchs; three nieces; and two nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by grandparents, Anton and Isabella Feldmann and Frank and Emma Burkle.
