Pristash, Pauline Agnes
Pauline Agnes Pristash, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Aug. 28, 2009, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Marion, with Rev. David Hagstrom officiating. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her sisters, Phyllis Mary Allison of Cornucopia, Wisc., Alveda Rose Spencer of Phoenix, Ariz., Natalie Rae Jehu of Crestwood Ill.; brother, John William Pristash Jr. of Canyon, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents John William Pristash Sr. and Marion Clarice Kaufman.
Pauline Agnes Pristash was born Jan. 21, 1933, in Cornucopia, Wisc. the daughter of John and Marion Pristash. Pauline was very active at St. Mark's Lutheran Church and served as the council secretary for over 30 years. She retired from teaching in 1998 and taught at Arthur Elementary School in Cedar Rapids for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Marion, 8300 C Ave. NE, Marion, IA 52302.
