Primrose, Pastor Bill Jr.
Pastor Bill Primrose Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by family and friends on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa.He was born to William and Irma Primrose on Sept. 23, 1940, in Vinton, Iowa.He is survived by his second wife of 15 years, Rosalie Primrose; his six children, Dave (Pam) Primrose, Dan (Ruth) Primrose, Debbie Primrose, Jennifer (Greg) Lemon, Cindy (Merv) Alcorn and James (Amy) Lofflin; sister, Marilyn (Dave) Bickle; brother-in-law, Ray Sullivan; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Bill was a church planter and a soul winner.He was preceded in death by his father, William; mother, Irma; brother, Bob; sister, Judy; and by his first wife of 33 years, Patsy (Price) Primrose.The visitation will be held at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW Ninth, Des Moines, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday with the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Bill will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at Trinity Baptist Church, 4600 SW 28th St., Des Moines.
