Prignitz, Timothy P.
Timothy P. Prignitz, 50, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with Pastor Randy Kasch officiating. Entombment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughter, Crystal Prignitz and fiance, Mitch Moses; son, Casey Prignitz; sisters, Teresa Wagner and Laurie Prignitz; and brother, David Prignitz, all of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are two granddaughters, Rosella Moses and Annabelle Prignitz.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rebecca Prignitz.
Timothy Paul Prignitz was born Oct. 2, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Wayne and Rosella Prignitz. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1978 and the University of Iowa in 1983. On Oct. 25, 1980, he married Mary Hawthorn in Robins. Tim worked in computer system support at Keane Inc. for many years, loved cooking, especially gourmet dishes, gardening, mowing and keeping a pristine yard, music, the Chicago Cubs/Bears/Bulls, Iowa Hawkeyes and golfing with his buddies and camping with Mary. He loved his family and friends, especially his two granddaughters.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
