Price, Gerald 'Dwayne'

Gerald “Dwayne” Price, 74, of Marion, formerly of Troy Mills, died Sunday, June 5, 2011. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, Zion Presbyterian Church, Coggon. Burial will be at a later date as he generously donated his body to science. The family will greet family and friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday June 12, at The Village Place, 345 Marion Blvd., Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Price, his children, Renee (Ken) Patrick of Walford, Cynthia McBride of Indiana, and Anthony (Angela) Price of Des Moines; sisters, Lois (Roger) Doyl and Lucile (Frank) Zieser of Walker; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlen L. and Eleanor E. Price.

Dwayne was born June 12, 1936, in Troy Mills, Iowa, to Harlen L. and Eleanor E. Price. He graduated from Troy Mills High School in 1954. On July 27, 1958, he wed Mary E Henderson at Zion Presbyterian Church in Coggon. Dwayne enjoyed working and his family. He was very active in both cub and boy scouts. He retired in 1995 from Dee Electronics. He was active in his church, Crosswinds Presbyterian in Phoenix, Ariz.
