Preston, Ronald D. 'Tiny'
Ronald D. “Tiny” Preston, 77, passed away Aug. 12, 2011, in Kansas City, Mo. A visitation was held Aug. 14 in Gladstone, Mo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, by the Rev. Jack Andrews. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be one hour before service at the funeral home.
Ronald was born on Good Friday, April 13, 1934, in Belle Plaine, Iowa. He and his wife, Dorothy, had just celebrated 51 years of marriage in July. He was a strong but gentle man, who was the foundation of a wonderful family who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Blanche Preston.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Mary Helen Preston and husband Garry Hevalow, and Georgetta McDowell and husband Robert; granddaughters, Sara Brookshire and husband Mike, Kari Jo Bovard and Kimberle Bovard; a brother, Monte Preston; and a loving family and friends.
