President George H.W. Bush died on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018. A national day of mourning will be recognized on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018. On this day (Wednesday), area residents are invited to any Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services location (Cedar Rapids, Mount Vernon, or Marion) from 2 to 5 p.m. to share a written memory, sign a register book, and remember President Bush. The register book and collected memories will be forwarded to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum in College Station, Texas.
