Pratt, Robert 'Bob' G.
Robert “Bob” G. Pratt, of Coggon, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Zion Presbyterian Church, Coggon. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Central City. Interment: 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile; daughter, Marcia Dalton of Silverthorne, Colo.; son, David (Charlene) Pratt of Newburgh, Ind.; three grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Mouser, Alan Pratt and Anthony (Katie) Pratt; and two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Abraham Mouser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Kadlec.
Bob was born Dec. 27, 1923, in rural Linn County, the son of Vern and Alice (Law) Pratt. He graduated from Central City High School in 1941. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, having served in Germany during World War II. He married Lucile Boss on Dec. 28, 1947, in Coggon. Bob was the owner and operator of Pratt Truck Line for 29 years.
