Potter, Darrell D.
Darrell D. Potter, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died at his home on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, after a long illness. A gathering will be held at a later date for family and friends. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters, Colleen VanSlyke of Mount Vernon, and Susan Ketcham of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Dave of Mount Vernon, and Melvin of Fayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Darrell was born on July 9, 1948, in Waterloo, the son of Daniel and Josephine Seago Potter. He was a mechanic for many years, working on industrial generators. He enjoyed collecting eagles, steins, coins and proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
A memorial fund has been established in Darrell's name.
