Pospichal, Frances 'Pat'

Frances “Pat” Pospichal, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with the Rev. Philip Thompson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before the funeral mass. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be at 5 p.m.

Frances “Pat” Pospichal was born Feb. 17, 1935, the daughter of David and Mae (Biwer) Lohuis. She was united in marriage to David W. Pospichal on March 24, 1954; they later were blessed with one son. Throughout the years Pat enjoyed sewing, needle crafts, bowling, and was an avid animal lover. Pat began working at Rockwell Collins in 1959 and for 39 years worked in the Air Transport Division as a warranty administrator. She retired in 1998.

Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
