Porter, Darrel 'Tom'
Darrel “Tom” Porter, 47, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Jerry Doellinger will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Tina; his mother, Rowena Hobbs of Oklahoma; and his sister, Gina Dixon and husband Denver of Golden, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darrel; and stepfather, Allen Hobbs.
Tom was born June 11, 1963, the son of Darrel and Rowena (Fields) Porter, in Prague, Okla. On March 27, 1999, he married Tina Martens in Marengo, Iowa. An avid outdoorsman, Tom had most recently worked at PMX Industries.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Tom.
