UPDATED SERVICES: Services have been rescheduled due to the weather. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chelsea, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time.
Edwin C. Plesek, 88, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a lingering illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chelsea, by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol (Tony) Behounek of Omaha; son, Joe (Vicky) Plesek of Chelsea; also by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are with the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.
