Pint, Everett F.
Everett F. Pint, 87, of Waterloo, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo from natural causes. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, with full military rites conducted by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Public visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street in Waterloo, where there will be a 4 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and 5 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also will be one hour before services Monday at the church.
He was born Jan. 21, 1924, on a farm in Mitchell County, the son of Anton and Regina (Blake) Pint. He married Marie E. Kenney on Jan. 24, 1959, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo. She died Sept. 29, 1987.
Mr. Pint served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was employed with John Deere for 33 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus and VFW.
Survivors include a son, Dennis (Deb) of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Karen (Tom) Moothart of Fort Collins, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Josh Moothart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard, Francis and Eugene Pint; and two sisters, Vivian Sweeney and Marian Sullivan.
