Phyllis J. Weber, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Saturday, May 3, 2014. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wed-nesday, May 7, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, with a vigil at 7 p.m., and 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Sandra (Dick) Helm of Las Vegas, Nev., Cindy Weber of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Vince) Seybert of Fairfax, Janet Weber of Albuquerque, N.M., Kim (Chuck) Graham of Rochester, Minn., and Joseph (Karen) Weber of Charlotte, N.C.; daughters-in-law, Marla Weber, Sharon Weber and Kathy Weber, all of Cedar Rapids; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Chester and Louise (Schuknecht) Morningstar. On Feb. 4, 1940, she married Donald Weber in Dubuque. He died in 1984. Phyllis worked as an inspector for Rockwell Collins for 26 years.
Phyllis was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she helped with the offering collection for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending lots of time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Ronald, Thomas and Michael; and a grandson, K.C. Weber.
